SPS Boys and Girls are Champions!
Clifton’s St. Philip the Apostle School’s CYO basketball program continued to field competitive teams this year, including two that took home the PSBL championships, and one that finished in second place. The 6th grade girls landed in the highly competitive American Division championship after two tough playoff games, posting a 32-27 win over St. Leo's of Elmwood Park. The 3rd/4th grade boys teams had a record undefeated season under Coach Ed Rowbotham, beating St. Mary’s of Rutherford 27-19 for the National Division championship. The 7th/8th grade boys team, coached by Raul Hilario and David Keller, played hard throughout the season and proudly placed second in the Colonial Division championship.
